Adrian Lee Whorton Obituary (1963

Adrian Lee Whorton. Born April 1, 1963. He left this world December 22, 2024 at the age 61 to spend eternity riding in the lush green pastures of Heaven. He was preceded in death by his younger sister Robin Whorton, older brother Donnie Whorton and his parents Don and Vera Whorton. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Theresa Whorton and his older sister Cynthia Noble. He also leaves behind his Nephew James Hall and wife Kali Hall, niece Dana Fernandez and husband Jonathan Fernandez, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly. Adrian loved playing football in his youth, and later bull riding for 10 years which ended due to a significant injury. He then began raising cattle with his wife and brother, as 3W Cattle Co. It wasn't long after that rodeo began calling. He put together a string of bulls he took to a nearby practice pen on Friday nights and local rodeos. He always took the time to teach the young riders what he had learned about the sport. He also instilled lessons of life and what it meant to be a "cowboy" not just a rodeo participant. He was affectionately called "Cowboy" by coworkers and his staff at Walker Bolt Mfg, Lone Star Fastener, and Lamons Mfg where he worked as a metallurgical testing lab supervisor for a combined 38 plus years. Adrian was most proud that a few of his bulls made it to both PRCA and PBR shows, especially 262 Yellow Feather, who was sold to Oilfield Outlaws. He went on to win the Yeti Bull of the Event title and is ranked 84th in the world standings. Adrian will forever be loved and remembered for his humor and compassion. See you later, Cowboy.
