He was born the 12th of May 1938 in San Carlos Yautepec, Oaxaca, Mexico. He moved to Houston on December 10th 1972 with his loving wife Sara Perez. He is survived by his wife, his three children Judith Maria, Angel Mario, and Marina Lupita. He leaves behind his grandchildren Olivia Marie, Thomas Angel, Jacqueline Maria, Vicente Domitilo, and Isabella Marie. Domitilo began working for the City of Houston in 1974. February 1, 1999, the day he retired, was declared "Domitilo D. Gomez Day" by Houston Mayor Lee P. Brown honoring his more than twenty-four years of loyal service at the City of Houston's Department of Public Works and Engineering. Domitilo was a devout Catholic that regularly visited the Blessed Sacrament at St. Charles Borromeo. His family is forever grateful for the time they got to spend with him. He was a wonderful, dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
