Emelda Cartagena

Emelda Cartagena, born on May 13, 1966, brought a burst of light into the world that continued to shimmer throughout her lifetime. Emelda, a gem to her family and friends, left us on October 18, 2026. Known for her contagious laughter and unending kindness, Emelda had a knack for making every person she encountered feel special and cherished. Her presence was a gift, and her memories are treasures that will be forever etched in our hearts.

Emelda was an individual of extraordinary talents and boundless energy. She had an incredible ability to connect with people on a deep and meaningful level, something that resonated with all who had the good fortune to be part of her life. In remembrance of Emelda, a visitation will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 3:00pm CDT at Guardian Angel Funeral Home, located at 2412 Little York Road, Houston, Texas. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 5:00pm CDT. We invite all who loved Emelda and shared in her life journey to join us in celebrating her life and honoring her memory. It's a time for us to come together, to share stories, to laugh, and to cry, but most importantly, to remember the wonderful woman that Emelda was.

Emelda was preceded in death by Juan Aguilar, a dear relative and friend, who passed on October 4, 2025. Their memories are intertwined, a testament to the love they shared and the lives they touched. We encourage anyone who knew Emelda or Juan to share their stories and memories on the memorial page.
