Sabas Galvan

Sabas Rene Galvan, son of the late Juan Galvan and Guadalupe Galvan, was born on February 10, 1955, in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico and passed away on April 16, 2026, in Houston, Texas.

Rene Galvan began playing music at the age of ten and has continued ever since. While he was a skilled vocalist and played all instruments, he always kept his guitar by his side and maintained a lifelong passion for music.

Rene Galvan is preceded in death by his father, Juan Galvan; his mother, Guadalupe Galvan; and his brothers, Juan Alberto Galvan and Joel Galvan.

Rene Galvan is survived by his daughters, Veronica Renee Valencia, Maria Guadalupe Galvan, and Julie Ann Cortez, his grandchildren, Madison Reigh Garcia, Ian Lawrence Galvan, Oliver Ruiz, Jackson Noah Salinas, and Remy Xavier Valencia, his great-granddaughter, Noah Soto, his siblings, Nora Salinas, Jose Galvan, Janie Nieto, Jorge Galvan, and Palmira Ramirez, and his honorary daughters, Erika Yesenia Galvan and Nahila Marie Galvan.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on April 25, 2026, at the Guardian Angel Funeral Home, 2412 Little York Road, Houston, Texas 77093.
